Akyaka Gokova

Akyaka is situated on the Gokova Gulf, in Mugla region. Mugla is rich for holiday resorts such as Bodrum, Fethiye, Marmaris and Akyaka, though its only a small village takes place among them. Akyaka is a small village in Turkey with a population only about 2000 people. As a lot of tourists arive in holiday season, in summer it becomes overcrowded, but be sure, you will never be disturbed in Akyaka. Akyaka is a calm place, holiday resort for those who is lokking for rest and family holiday.

Akyaka is situated on the mountains and that’s why it has such as advantage as very beautiful sea views. Almost every house and every hotel has beautiful sea view, and if you want more, you just can take a trip up to the mountains and enjoy the view of Gokova Gulf.

How to get to Akyaka? As it was said Akyaka is situated on the south- west coast of Turkey in the region of Mugla. you can take a plane to Dalaman airport or to Milas airport and then take taxi or transfer to Akyaka. All houses in Akyaka are built in  Nail Chakirhan’s style, white houses with red roofs, this style allows only some certain sizes of windows, and colours. Thanks to it Akyaka is really a very beautiful village.

Hotels of Akyaka are new, beautiful, all with the same design as houses. The biggest hotels are Yucelen hotel and Ottoman Residence hotel. As compare to other holiday resorts they are not big at all but in Akyaka they are considered to be big. Akyaka is a holiday village where apart hotels, pansyons, bungalo and camping are very popular. You can come by your own caravan and park in in Gokova Forest, or rent an apartment with kitchen. This is natural, cause Akyaka is a holiday resort for families, who are not looking for bars and loud music. That’s why, if you family is big and you would like to have a kitchen, you can make reservation in such apart hotels like Yesil apart and Kordon apart. There are a lot of aparts in Akyaka, and on hotels pages we will notice them, just Yesil apart and Kordon apart are the biggest. There is also a good choice of villas for rent in Akyaka. Villa prices change depening on sea view and pool in it. Please note that though there are a lot of hotels and aparts in Akyaka, its hard to find a room in high season. So always make reservations and booking in advance.
